Our Story

As parents of two young children we believe strongly that they are destined to find a calling that will change the world. We believe our role as parents is to inspire and equip our children toward what we call a Hero’s Journey.

Our story began as we sought out schools for our own children as we prepare for them to leave their awesome Montessori environment. A few things we know are that we want them to be prepared for a meaningful life, with 21st century skills that focuses our children learning to “Do” and to “Be” while embracing lifelong learning.

Our search led us to Acton Academy - a proven network of learner-driven micro-schools, founded by educators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and parents.

We are continually encouraged by other families on their own journey asking “what next” and “who will we travel with”. We invite you to explore Acton Academy Southwest Austin and reach out as you prepare your family to change the world.

Sincerely,

Jeff and Anissa Couvillon
